I have in the mountains a few times. The likelyhood of anyone being around above the snowline is minimal so quite enjoyed it.
Don't think I'd like it in the jungle or outback on my own though!

I would absolutely make sure i had everything i planned previously with me to make me comfortable as possible. and i'd enjoy it very very much, with a nice bonfire going about thirty or forty feet away from the tent , keeping careful considerations which way the wind if any is blowing. I would love it lov eit love it. NOT to say there may be an occasion and depending on where i am exactly, that i might just freak out but if i'm not in A wild jungle of South America or a jungle terrain area of AFrica, it should be just great , bring your flashlight and a nice big bowie knife perhaps. and lots of water to drink and food aplenty. DO IT i've done it more than once nothing hurts you excepting maybe , depending on the time of year and season, MOSQUITOS I hate those little buggers so much. get in a good tent and keep it zipped up closed at all times and only when your going out or back in to open it , do it fast! Keep's more bugs OUT!!!!! HAVE FUN@!!!!! RobertG.
