No: You and I are to Protect Family, the Infirm ,the sick the Babys/We are not to get over into the Revenge,Human Government,(Mom and Dad) Civil Government, and should We be in Position as Police--- Military Member We are to Protect and Defend,to the Extent of Law, --Otherwise we would have Anarchy,Those that give stay to the Guilty are
as though they commited crime also.I know we have "weak Kneed) People ,Christians that say ,Oh we can"t Kill,Jesus
wen"t even farther than the Letter of Commandment to say If You Hate someone you are Guilty of Murder,Plus tax Dollars are to be spent to Hire the minster of Law( Police or Military Man) He has to take a Life or Give His,So by Proxy every Man-Woman have commited Murder,Also about the slap on face,How is an Officer supposed to React to a Monster that Has Raped a Little Baby and cut the Mother"s throat. A Professing Individual in any Denomination can Quote the Commandment all He Wants,But He contributes to staying the Guilty. No matter if He Perticapates in Civil Authority or Not,My K.J.V. States ,Because a sentence against the Guilty
is Delayed ,Man"s Heart is fully set to do Evil.

Turning the other cheek is wrong, you have to defend yourself and especially when it is about persecution because of race, religion or whatever it is very important to do whatever you are able to to stop it.
Revenge is wrong too, when the attack is over and you are safe you should not take revenge, but you have to stop aggression if you can.

It depends on what you believe. As a Christian I believe in waiting for God to judge. I am able to wait in hope therefore because I trust Jesus Christ as Lord who will return to Judge the living and the dead. If I did not believein Christ and his authoritative teaching I would not turn the other cheek but would certainly seek vengeance whenever possible and I would also join a militia and get ready for a war.

I can get spitting mad, but then sit down and decide the best course. Sometimes it is an action-look at Jesus on the Church steps-sometimes its nothing, sometimes its just contacting to appr. people and pass on info-most people are in the center of their own world and its not about me I've come to find. The only oerson I can control is me- so I try to do that- but I can whirl up a storm inprivate!

I do try very hard to turn the other cheek. I forgive very easily and I do work at being fair even to those who treat me unfairly. It is not always easy though. It takes a concerted effort to be kind to people who are abusive to you in any way.

I turn the other cheek. I must admit, I'm not always smiling and glad for the persecution. I'm working on it.

Usually I'm able. But I have a gift for defusing tense situations and being friendly to unfriendly people. Some people have a tougher time with that than I do.

I try to be as friendly and nice and polite as possible but if a person pushes me too far then all bets are off. If they hit me I will strike right back.

As I've said before...
Christ spoke in parables and metaphors....
The turn the other cheek metaphor was stating that violence is not always the answer....
do you really think he meant to physically cut off your hand or pluck out your eye if it offended you?
Violence is not always the answer....but sometimes fire has to be fought with fire....

God said to leave "revenge" to him to take. BUT I tell you that I will hit back if I get hit and I will still feel that I am in the Faith. As for Mental anguish, yes, I pray all the time for God to take revenge and he does a lot of the times.
