Is it De-Ah or just Dee?

I'm 99% sure it's the Chinese surname "田" in Fujianese (Min) dialect. Probably a Min-Chinese descendant from Singapore, Malaysia or Vietnam.
It's pronouced "Điền" or "Tiân".
Well, it's like saying the name "Dion" really fast. Each Chinese character has only one syllable. So try to pronounce it as ONE thing.
It could also be "李", which is pronouced as "Di" or "Dee". But it's not very likely because it's usually just spelt as "Di" or "Dee".
I'm sure this person don't mind being called "De-Ah", as I myself have gotten used to being called "Tea-Zan" or "Ta-Sand".
You can simiply ask how he or she would like to be called.
