I think it's theoretically possible, but it almost never seems to happen that way in practice.

No it's not possible and yes it does make you homophobic.
That's be like someone saying Is it possible to love green-eyed redheads as people, while condemning their green eyes and red hair as sinful?
Homosexuality is something you are born with, it's not a choice you are in essence telling the person that you really do hate them no matter how much you try to just word trickery to weasel out of it.
But seeing how you feel it's a choice let me give you another example, how would you feel if I was to say to you "Is it possible to love Christians as people, while condemning Christianity as a evil lifestyle?" Now, wouldn't you, if I said that, think I hated Christians? Wouldn't you as a person feel devalued because I am attacking something about you, that is a part of you? Are you getting my point?
You cannot tell a person you hate something very fundamental about their personality, or something that makes them who they are...and come away with everyone thinking you are all loving! It doesn't work that way. Replace the word homosexual with anything you like and see how your statement sounds.

Not necessarily homophobic, bu t probably a bit bigoted. Too, I doubt that your love is truly sincere, but more likely a pity, feeling sorry for these "poor souls".
Love involves acceptance of people. If you love somebody, you aren't out to change them. If you are trying to change somebody, you are saying that you don't love them as they are. They are somehow deficient. When they change, then you can love them completely.
So, your definition is that of pity and partial love, loving what you hope someone might be if they change as you wish.
You say you "love them", so that you can feel good about yourself. You condemn homosexuality because of some misinterpreted words in a Bible, or you take some "sacred" scripture to define what human beings are supposed to be in the face of scientific evidence to the contrary.
Then the religious uphold their scripture in the face of science by either diminishing scientific fact or by saying that humans are supposed to "overcome" tendencies.
Not being homosexual, some people still believe that they understand it. They have no first-hand knowledge but somehow believe that they can speak with authority.
Anyway, you may or may not be homophobic, but I doubt that with your attitude that you have any real homosexual friends. I doubt that you really "love" homosexuals as a whole. I doubt that you would let a homosexual couple babysit your children. You may have them over for dinner, but I suspect that it's part of a plan to show them what a "good and righteous" life is all about.
If you can accept and trust, that's love. If you simply pity, that's bigotry. If you can't trust, that's homophobia. If you think that gay people will somehow "infect" or "influence" others, that's homophobia.

It isn't possible for you to have the authority to condemn anyone. Who gave you this authority? By what qualifications do you determine sinfulness? Is your life spotless in the eyes of God, and so you have become qualified to judge others?
It is not judgemental to call a thief a thief. It is not judgemental to call a homosexual a homosexual. It is simply a statement of the truth. You can love people and still state the truth.
It is, however, sinful for you to condemn anyone. You are not the judge. You cannot be both the judge of a sinner and a sinner yourself. This is like one man in prison sentencing another man to prison. Who would give you such authority?
All you have is the choice to live your own life sinlessly. Do you judge yourself as blameless and sinless? By what authority do you judge yourself? No. You are not the judge of either the sinner or the righteous, so you have no authority to condemn anyone as either sinful or righteous.

It makes you a hypocrit and also an idiot. If you were smart enough you would realize that homosexuality is not a choice, and if you have homoseuxal friends then im sure you will know this. It's an orientation over which the individual has no control, and the bible teaches you to discriminate against it for no appropriate reason. And of course, the fact that God created all humans, and therefore homoseuxals is a direct contradiction of the christian motto 'god loves everyone' (and is only one of MANY contradictions to this insubstantiol beleif) and also shows God to be very ignorant, which do not sound like the chracteristis of an omniscient God to me.

a sin is simply anything that comes between you and the holy ghosts guidance in your life
a person could hate homosexuals and condemn them so much that they're committing a sin.by doing so and the homosexual may be of the spirit and loves God and goes to heaven while the one that condemns will not go to heaven.I do not know this but it could be true.Jesus said to have love, and to not judge others.
I was sexually molested.by a man. not raped.when i was seven, it took a long time to even get close to letting that go,it affected me, but i do not hate or judge anyone.I give all that to God, God .my mother told me. can do a much better job then i can.I try to have love in my heart, though this is very hard to do sometimes .I know that I must forgive others.
Peace

Yes it is possible to love someone but not agree with their choices. It does not make you homophobic. But keep in mind that it is not for us to condem/judge others. We are all guilty of sin and if you thinks otherwise you really need to pray on it.

YES!!! It happened to me. I fell into that pit when I was 19 and I was so depressed and hopeless about it that I contemplated suicide. Then a Christian girl came into my life and loved me anyway. Her example of God's love got me on a path toward freedom and restored my hope. 8 years later I got totally free of that sinful way of life. I am full of joy and peace now and I answer your question with a resounding YES!!!
Homosexuals are people too, their sin is no different and no worse than anyone else's. They should be treated with the same love and respect as every other human being.

I feel that being homosexual isn't a choice. I think it's biological. One of my best friends is gay and I love him to death. I do not hate lesbians. I just don't care to be around them. I guess I'm slightly homophobic huh?

We are all sinners under the curse of sin. Jesus didn't come to condemn people he came to save. If one confess's and is converted he is covered by the blood of JESUS hidden in the shadow of the Lord's sacrifice.
It's important to warn an erring brother from a position of meekness. But if you judge him the bible acts like a two-edged sword.
Here is what God's word says:
Romans 2
1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Please note I am just the messenger and the message is it's God's judgment not mine or yours.
