They're actually great little 4x4's. Custom ones are a match for a Landrover because of their weight advantage, even though they are a fraction of the price!

I've been using the suzuki jimny a lot of times in very hard situation such as sand, rock and mud and I can tell you that it's fantastic. It's major vantage is the lightness; you can easily drive the jimny off-road where bigger and more expensive 4X4 cannot go. The only problem with that car is when you drive it on a highway since it's noisy (not because of the engine but mostly because of aerodynamic noise and tires' noise) and pretty slow. I apologize for my English, it's not my mother language.

My workmate swears by them. He's recently bought a new one. I own a Subaru 4x4 but the Jimny has some better advantages...height, intelligent 4x4, ground clearence. However, I've been looking at the Fiat Sedici and it's Suzzy Sister for my next (diesel) 4x4.

If you are talking about a sidekick, yes it will get you where you want to go. I have had 3 Geo Trackers and I love them. Mine has gotten me through 3 blizzards this year.

Tires are everything, BF Goodrich Mud TA's or all terrains get these to go anywhere. You have to have 4x4 too.

you somewhat could have somebody look at your front end, it must be your balljoints, or maybe a loose tie-rod end. If it shakes you need to look at your wheel bearings, maximum suitable element to do could be jack the motor vehicle up and placed your palms on the 12 oclock and six oclock positions and pull one hand and push the different to envision for circulation. this could examine for tie-rod end and balljoint play. in case you could lock your steerage try on the three and 9 oclock positions to envision for circulation, this could point out wheel bearing circulation if there is plenty, there will be slightly out of your steerage wheel turning slightly. it must be so straight forward as your shocks, yet in many situations extra effective than one element fails. it is in simple terms on the front end, if it particularly is the rear, it must be your shocks, or leaf sprins in case you have a SUV or truck

They're surprisingly good off-road, despite being viewed, as you say, as a "hairdresser's" car. Light and agile, they often go places where bigger, more expensive machinery doesn't. Plus, being as simple as you can get, they're easy to fix.

No fun ON the road though, slow, noisy & bouncy.
