You are a Spirit (like the invisible Angels around you right now).
You have a Soul (mind, will, emotions)
You Live in a Body (that why Everybody Else can see you)
Adam messed up his Spirit (became Lost) and Passed that on to the Rest of Us.
Gotta get that Spirit Recreated to make Heaven your Home.
Jesus is the Only One Who can Recreate it for you.
Religion and being and doing good (we should all of the Time try to be and do good) cannot Recreate your Spirit.
When you get your Spirit Recreated then you are SAVED.
Hope this helps.
I turned on (loaded) that Messenger in the Other Day, and after all of the Confusion, I turned it back off.
Ditto................

Why is everyone so cynical? Can't you just let people believe what they want? I'm a Christian, but I don't wear it on my sleeve and Jeeze, I hope I am Saved, but I won't know for sure until I die, will I?
If I go around knock what others believe and die and find out I'm wrong what is the price then? Isn't it better to just be open minded to any possibility and suffer fools gladly rather than being a sharped tough prick about it?

Well, it comes from the idea that we are all sinners and we're automatically headed to hell. Jesus came and died to take the penalty on Himself for our sins, thus "saving" us from that trip to hell. When we accept that free gift and give Him our lives, building a personal relationship with God, and serving Him... We are saved.

It means saved from the human state of sin and damnation. It means one is accepted by God and will go to heaven, so they are saved from hell.

Baseball said it perfectly, although in truth i've always preferred the term "Redeemed" instead, it sounds more accurate...

It means you've bought into a delusion. In reality people need to strive for their own salvation rather than expect a saviour to wash their sins away.
