They used to market a draught lager called 'Skol Special Strength' which was good. However this was in the 70's when the British would not buy anything but weak eurofizz and the American equivalent. It was soon withdrawn. Thank goodness things have changed. The 'spoilt water' type of lager is gradually disappearing. Heineken is now an imported 5% proof and is really good. The only British brewer I have found that brews a really good lager is Sam Smith, but all their beer is good.

Skol lager was made by allied domecq, since 1997 it has been made by Carlsberg uk, as they obviously dont want it to clash with their own brands they do not promote it, both skol which is about 3.2% and skol super which is about 8.5% are available in convenience stores and supermarts.

Nothing's happened to it. Ask your dog to to lead you to it, although I don't know why! It's available in all the big supermarkets where you obviously don't go. Good for you really, tastes like the tin & is only one step up from lemonade.
