Even if a cat throws up 1x time a week it is usually "normal" due to grooming and salivia "overload" believe it or not.

I had the same issue and I thought my cat was gonna die I was upset BUT I calmed down and thought about ALL of the cats actions and realized if throw up was the ONLY sign/symptom then it must be related to a lodged furball. Or furballs in general.

I use "Hartz Furball remover paste" Some don't like "Hartz" some do. Pick what YOU prefer. After 2-3 days if kitty is still having vomit issues then try the vet route.

If there are other signs like unusual tiredness, crankiness, lack of playing, runny poop, no appetite, ect. then it is usually not a furball.

To be honest I get frustrated because A LOT of cats symptoms resemble A LOT of diseases. My cat had an "URI" and I was told it was Rabies by a vet tech over the phone because of the drool and her "I'm in pain" meowing. She said it was the "End-Rage-Stage" and she'll die in 72 hours or less!!

Needless to say after a drive to the vet at a speed of 110 MPH (German enginering) He told us it was a BAD case of "URI" AND scolded the tech for being a ninny.

I would take her to the vet. My cat did that for a while so i changed her food and now she only does it once in a while. My cat has a sensitive stomach. I would check with the vet to make sure.

It could just be fur balls, you can buy biscuits which help with that.
Sometimes cat's scoff things down too quickly if another pet is around..Have you got an inside dog or another cat?
My 13 year old cat has been doing it for years since we got a dog and the dog used to pinch it's food. Also because he is old he can't hold as much down as he used to, maybe try giving smaller servings twice a day instead of one large one.
As for fur balls, they are very common.

Definately take her to the vet. This happened to my cat (although he was 19 when it started) and as it ended up he was dehydrated because his kidneys had shut down. We had to give him water treatment every 3 days and then when that stopped working (about 6 months later) we had to put him down.

This can be cause by a variety of things, kidney failure, diabetes, intestinal blockage... definately have her checked out!

Vet trip needed. It could be so many things.Including hairballs. My cat is long hair and cleans my other animals to.It could also be the food to.Check to make sure there isnt any recalls on it.There was a huge pet food recall not to long ago.

hi i have 7 cats and only one of them throws up occassionally and when he does its usually just because he eats too fast or has a hairball. eating grass usually calms his stomach. has your cat thrown up before? if not something could be wrong. your best bet would be to take her to the vet just in case so they can tell you whats wrong and how to help her. good luck.
