I need to run both versions of Microsoft Word on the one computer I have. Microsoft issues newer versions as updates that seek and overwrite existing versions. Has any one got a solution to this headache?

There is no such trick to do it because whenever a newer version of software is installed it overwrites itself on the older version. The only way to do it is have two different version of windows on your pc and that also not XP only the two older versions like 98 and 2000 and than install both your version one on each.

How about partitioning your hard drive and installing one version on one partition and one version on the other partition? I do not know if this will work or not. It may require a completely separate license for each program versus merely an upgrade license.
