Disable or uninstall the mcafee first and then install the AVG. We have the AVG and it works great. We have the paid version with the firewall.

If you install AVG without removing Mcafee first then you will find your system will become very slow, it might not boot into windows at all, if you want to install AVG first remove Mcafee then install AVG

get into control panel,click on add/remove programs,you will see a list of applications currently installed on your PC.
Click on McAfee once, then click on uninstall/remove.
Once that task is completed,restart the machine and install AVG antivirus.

NEVER run 2 anti virus programs at the same time!
Uninstall one before installing the other!

Delete Mcafee first through add and remove software on your control panel. You will mess up your computer if you have both running.
