weddings can be done cheaper, and just as beautiful as those costing over $15,000. You just need to be creative, and able to search for pictures, and know how to pull off what you see. You don't have to have a sit down meal, and serve prime rib, roast beef, funky chicken and so fourth. You can provide all types of hors d oeuvre and a lovely punch. You can layer your hors d oeuvre, by putting them at different heights, and you can use all types of boxes, and such on the table and underneath a lovely table cloth. You can fill in the little spaces with lace and flowers. You can still have a hot food side and a cold food side. but you do not have to provide your guest with a sit down meal...it is crazy to go in debt, when their parents are reaching up in years and really don't need to get deeper and deeper in debt. It will actually postpone their retirement, so that they can pay off a $20,000 and up wedding.

How many times do U get married ? Probably this is the 1st and the last time in your life. Parents always wanted to see their children feel happy in their life. To celebrate their marriage is a way the parent tell the children how happy they are to see U get married. This is an opportunity for the parent to celebrate your happy day and invite all their friends to celebrate your day. And the occasion will be remembered by both of U and your parent. However, it is wise to spend within your mean, but some parent are willing to take the risk to fulfil their dream.

I honestly don't know. My sister and I were extremely sensible and had wonderful weddings that reflected each of us for about $1000 each.

I'm hoping my DD's are that realistic. It's either that or they better have the jobs to pay for a huge wedding because I won't be. I'll make my big investment into their lives if I have the money for their first car or house down payment but I won't throw it away for a single day.
