I always imagine a cute guy saying that I look good and I talk back saying, "You look good too."

I know that cute guy is not real but I just imagine he is there. BUt I don't talk to him when there is people around, just in private.

Absolutely not, it is something you envisioned like a daydream which is very healthy. Look up schizophrenia in the dictionary.

No, you don't. If you had schizophrenia, chances are you wouldn't be suspicious that you did. The fact that you realize he's not real and that you don't do it in public means it's not a hallucination. It's just a desire that you have- a daydream or a fantasy if you'd like to call it that. As long as you don't start to believe he's real, there's nothing to be worried about.

It's hard to tell. It sounds a bit like an overvalued idea. People who have psychosis often lack insight into what's real and what isn't. You sound like your reality-testing skills are all right. If you were psychotic you would probably come across as being strange to other people. Try getting feedback from other people about how you come across to them.

There's no harm in talking to a doctor if you want to make sure. Just be open and frank about all the ideas you have about reality, and see if any of them sound strange to him or her.

I don't think you have schizophrenia, I think you have a very vivid fantasy of someone who is attracted to you. Is this because you have low self esteem and not to many friends? Instead of talking to your imaginary man, go out and interact with other people. Secluding yourself longer will just make it harder to meet people later on.

No thats not what schizophrenia is, Depending on you age you should get a check up from your doctor and stop trying to label yourself. Relax and see a doc and have a check up!
