No.. im not trying to take advantage here. Im turning the offer down. I just wanted to know, would 'a friend' do this for another friend?

I wouldn't mail a ticket, unless you did it fed ex. I would pre-pay the ticket and electronically the ticket will be waiting for them at their airport.

it depends on the level of freindship. i have sent and have recieved both . some with expectations and some without . find out what is expected of you when you visit and how long is the stay . allso dont be a leech bring money along and offer to bye a dinner or to pay for an outing . allso bring a gift to show your appreciation.

The only thing is that the individual would need a passport and Visa.. Other than that, it should not be a problem..

yes, if she is out of the country she needs to get a passport to get in the country, and apply for a visitors visa i believe, unless she is american

It's a very expensive thing to do for 'just a friend'. I'd wager that there's definitely more to it.
