1. buy a straight iron. Iron your hair out in sections (put the top half of your hair into a high ponytail. Straighten the bottom half first, then the top half.) Side part your hair which will give it some body and lift. use a bit of pomade [or gel in a pinch] and use it only on the ends of your hair to eliminate split end frizz.
2. Wash and blow out your hair. blow it straight, or use your straightener. Then, use a curling iron to curl just the hair below your ears. Run a curl enhancing or frizz reducing cream over your hair, and once all curls are complete, run your fingers through your hair. Voila! The "Jessica Simpson" look. Straight on top, curly on the bottom.
3. Experiment with your ponytails! Try putting one very high on your head, or very low right at the nape of your neck. Side part your hair, then pull it back into a pony.

Try a shorter hair style like a "Bob" or pageboy, look.

perhaps a Hamil Wedge

You may even go for a smooth slick wet look hairstyle, that looks sexy when worn at certain times.
Lots of options

Try google and type ''cute hairstyles''
