These are really good for the whole body:
Cardio exercises:
- Running/jogging/speedwalking (treadmill - better for your knees)
- Swimming (indoors)
- Jump rope
- Biking
- Dancing
- Group exercises at the gym
Don't forget to do warm up and cool down exercises. Those are important. Stretching is really good for the body.
And weight lift for building muscle, which will help increase the rate of your metabolism and help you lose weight faster.
Also, try out:
- Pilates
- Yoga
For food it's obvious:
- Cut down junk food intake (soda, candy, chips, etc) because of its salt and sugar and fat
- Drink a lot of water
- Juice is not all that great because they put a lot of sugar in it
- Replace current snacks with a fruit or veggie or granola or trail mix
- No red meat (get lean meat), no white bread (get grain)
- Eat a good breakfast (yogurt, etc) with lots of fiber (apple, etc) to keep you feeling full throughout the day, eat a nice lunch, and keep the dinner light

Well, for one thing, you should maybe make a daily excercise routine foryourself that only lasts about 30minutes. Also, if you eat slower, your stomach will know faster when it's time to stop eating, for when you eat fast, you eat than you should that extra fat gets stored in your body. Eat 6 small meals a day instead of 3 huge meals because that is achually what your body really needs every day. Also, don't eat a lot of junk food and have one time during the day where you have a snack. Basically if you organize what you will eat for the day, that will help you lose the pounds you need. The real problem will be trying to keep those 5 pounds off for good:)

Easy!! Simply add a fruit to your breakfast and lunch meal, and a fruit + veggie during your dinner meal. Work out daily. Try workout dvd's from leslie Sansone [walk away the pounds] or dance dvds. You will lose about 1-2 lbs a week. Remember that losing over 3 lbs. a week is unhealthy. Another little thing you could do is start taking vitamins. That helps a lot.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
