Starting in ninth grade, I was a freelance writer for my city paper. I published five editorials that were enjoyed greatly. A couple of people would recognize me on the bus or in restaurants and tell me how much they liked my work. Those were my glory days.

I was introduced to and kissed Princess Diana's hand at a Ball many years ago. I wrote a poem about it, had it delivered to her the next yr at the same event,( was out of the country so couldn't attend) and she wrote me a thank you! I will always cherish it.
