No, you were just probably thinking or talking about them & your mind manifested them in a dream.

This really doesn't have to do anything with religion. It is just that your mind replays and thinks about some times you had with that person. Your brain takes that and puts it in your dream. So it is just physiologic thinking that your brain naturally does.

It could be that they have something to say to you from beyond the grave, or that they have a significance for you. Or it could simply be your subconscious shuffling through its back files, as it were, and turning them up.
