Give her a taste of her own medicine.. Treat her as she treats you.. You would be surprised how much that works sometimes.

Conservatives and liberals don't get along too well...I suggest that you talk to her and tell her that you don't appreciate her ways with you. Explain to her why you believe what you believe and that it's ultimately up to you and God to maintain your religious beliefs. Don't let what she says get to you because that way she can easily get on your nerves. If she doesn't listen then find a hobby or something that keeps your mind off of her. The less attention you pay her, the less time you'll have to be around her and the less bugging you'll get from her.

Matt. it sounds like she is older than you--so you best bet would be not to talk politics with her---and as far as her grin- give it right back at her---she'll be put back wondering what's going on with you because of infuriating you, and that is what she likes to do by the way, she won't know what's going on with you...I promise you it will drive her crazy and she'll be begging you to tell her what is going on----again, if she starts talking politics- grin like she does and WALK AWAY.........good luck---- I know you'll win on this........

No matter what she does to you, be friendly and nice to her. The same thing happened to my mom and one of her co-workers. The lady rubbed her the wrong way, and all my mom did was smile and be nice to her. The lady had no choice but to be nice to her, for the fact that my mom wouldn't be mean to her. Sometimes people just want to push you the wrong way, and you can't do anything, but the exact oposite of what they want you to do, and be nice.

It doesn't sound like you live in the same house. I don't know your ages but you can surely hold your temper til she leaves. If I punched everyone I didn't care for I'd be in jail.

Try not to focus on her. If you live in the same house, it's harder, but just remember, no one can damage your ideas/beliefs unless you allow it.
If you don't live in the same house, distance yourself. Get busy with other things and people.
Some people act superior in order to shore up their inferiority complex. I know that sounds backwards but they have to spout how great they are (or act that way) in order for themselves to believe it.
Cultivate your own life and creativity and let her have her own little "superior" world. You don't have to be a member of it.

No matter how much you disagree with her, family is family and blood is blood. My sister and I are like night and day but we are family and there is a bond there. Think of how you would feel if something happened and you never saw her ever again. You're different. sure, but that's not everything.

I believe in Jesus....not all those silly titles you say there.
Love her the same way you want her to love you.
Then YOU have the power. Ummmm.......please do not go punching her, unless that is what you want her to do to you.
