Hey Country Kicks,

Family Search by LDS is a great place to start. Then the SSA sites. Also, getting vital records from the municipality where they deceased. If you want other records about these people, you might try people related to them at a GENFORUM with that surname. Here are some of the best sites for this purpose.

Some great free sites I have used in tracing my family history are:
Rootsweb.com
Social Security Death Index (SSDI),
Familysearch.org
vitalsearch-worldwide.com
genealogy.com
Some of these sites will ask you to create a login and password. I haven't been slammed with tons of emails so don't let that stop you. I will warn you though, you will see ancestry.com on most of your searches, beware it's a trap. They say they have the info all you have to do is pay. Ya right! Believe me you can find the info with out paying. Good luck!
