You need to go to the ER right now. Take it from me! I developed a blood clot in my leg that traveled through my heart (almost had a heart attack) and into my lungs, nearly killing me. Here's some other signs to look for with a deep clot in the leg:
Only about half of the people with deep vein thrombosis have symptoms. The symptoms may include:
Swelling of the leg
Pain or tenderness in the leg-the pain is usually in one leg and may only be present when standing or walking
Feeling of increased warmth in the area of the leg that is swollen or that hurts
Red or discolored skin.
My only symptom was cramping. It is usually on your inner thigh, as that is where your major vein lies.
If you have any or all of these symptoms, it is extremely important that you get yourself to an ER. They can be life threatening, take it from me!

If you think it's a blood clot, go to the hospital right now!!!! Seriously, if it is a blood clot it could be fatal if it moves into your heart. I'm not joking, you have no time to lose. However, could it be something else, a bite? a cyst? Needs to be checked out regardless, go to the hospital.

Well, you might have a blood clot and if it moves to your heart......well. And you may never see/feel it move - until one day, one night...and bam! You've got to go to emergency room right now! Want to wait and see your doctor? It's a chance. For the sake of a few bucks it's the better thing to do. Thanks for asking about this big issue.
