My personal choice is the light rosin. If you've tried the light rosins, then go to a music and ask, I personally have been using "Gustave Berbardel" for about 6 years now and has never dissapointed me. It makes my sound stand out and its doesn't leave much residue on the body. I hope that helps a bit. Don't forget that it is a preference, so keep trying if you haven't found it yet.

Tartini is fantastic! I second it! However, I believe they are now manufacturing under a different name.

Jade Rosin is dark rosin--Both in color and in the sound it gives. It's great!

Evah Pirastro Rosin is okay, but there's a bit too much oil in it.

Hill light or dark is a good choice; Tartini is better still.

I like the dark stuff over the yellow stuff, but don't have a 'fav' brand.

I'm just an amateur who likes to fiddle around though (giggle).
