I am hosting a baby shower and there is this game where you freeze plastic babies in ice. In the game, you give all your guests an ice cube with a plastic baby in the middle. The first cube to melt, releasing their baby, yells "my water broke". Last night I tried freezing my plastic babies and they just kept floating to the top. So I froze a tray of 1/2 filled water. Once frozen, I put the babies in an empty slot covered by a hardened cube and then refilled with water. This worked somewhat. But the cubes looked deformed. There must be a better way. Anyone have any suggestions?

The trick is to put the baby in the ice cube when the ice cubes are half frozen, kinda slushy, then freeze solid. The baby won't float in the slush.

One pal freezes broth or inventory in ice cube trays, then places the ice cubes in a bag interior the freezer. She grabs a pair of those cubes and has good inventory every time she desires to prepare dinner with it. of path, in case you're searching for relaxing treats, do not use that! Freeze on the spot pudding in an ice cube tray and upload sticks whilst it somewhat is halfway frozen. Pseudo-ice cream pops! yet another element it somewhat is relaxing to do is freeze 2 or 3 diverse sorts of Kool-help that go properly jointly. Freeze them in separate trays. Pop 3 or 4 of those right into a tumbler -- combination them up -- and upload lemon-lime soda or maybe club soda. it somewhat is amazingly tremendously and makes a advantageous own glass of blended punch simply by fact the ice thaws. For this, it somewhat is unquestionably terrific to apply unrefrigerated soda so the ice will soften greater honestly.

Fill the tray half way, float the baby and let it freeze. Fill the tray with ice cold water and let that freeze. Ta da! Why do women always have the gross games at baby showers? The prize for most tastless has to go to the party that had everyone tasting a diaper full of melted chocolate and peanut butter.

depending on the size of item and ice cubes. Fill to the level you want the item at. If the item is to be placed vertically place just enough water at bottom to "hold" base of item. Freeze tray, water and item. Cover with more water. Note if your items are "glued" upright with a little bit of water, make sure that the added water is cold enough so that it doesn't melt the water in the tray. ( use ice water thats put back into the freezer for 10 minutes).

Fill the ice cube tray to 1/3 of its capacity and freeze it. Add the item with about 1mm of water, to stick it to the base so it does not float, and freeze that. Top the cube tray and freeze. I did this with a fly once for my college roommate.
