If your you fight right handed no. You shouldn't switch to southpaw unless you have a reason (Ei - Cut over oppenents Left eye, you can tear it up with a right jab).

Switching up makes it easy for your opponent to catch you off balance especially on the inside.

If it lands on your opponents chin, yes, if you miss and get countered then no. Southpaws lead with their right, if you fight lefty, then yes. Usally on the inside, it doesn't matter if you are conventional or southpaw, it's slugging not boxing.
Just don't lead with your chin.

I think you should not lead with your right if you're right -handed. Slip the jab with the left and follow with your right. Tuck your chin down.
