Why do I sit and defend Jesus's teachings of goodness while some Christians bash my religion?

Am I stupid do you think?

Would I be considered smarter if I bashed Jesus back?

Im just curious as how the bashers would respond really.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that His Word is Truth.

I'm guessing that you are Muslim? While I don't bash your beliefs, and I've never seen your questions or defense of Jesus' teachings, I'm guessing you are not in agreement that He is God's only begotten Son and the only way to the Father. That would be the source of contention.

At the very least, believing that Jesus was a nice man and some sort of prophet, but not the true prophet would be offensive to Christians. It's basically saying Jesus was a liar or deluded.

It's not personal (and I'm sorry if there are those who are making it a personal attack), it's the basic incompatibility of the two belief systems.

What is your religion??. Im a christian and there is no need to bash someone esle cause of their religion. But Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Until you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, then your eternal destination is hell.

LOLOLOL!!!! You seem to think that Christians receive no static in this forum??? Give me a Break!! I don't see where you stated your particular 'religion' , you could be Catholic, Mormon, Fundamentalist Christian, Muslim, Jehovah's Witness or a lot of others and get the same treatment in this place.

Maybe your particular 'brand' is considered to be brand X for reasons. Try to check out why people are bashing, they might have something that is legitimate... just a thought...:)

First off I want to say I am sorry if I hurt your feelings in your last question about Jesus. It is great that you believe he was here on this earth. I have never had any muslim or anyone who believes in Islam do me any harm. In fact all have been respectful, thanks.
Ask yourself this:

Why did Jesus come to this earth?
to be a Good teacher?
To get married and have kids?
To show us how to live?
NO.
He came for one reason alone To die for our sins.
If you deny this, as do most from Islam, you do not believe in the Jesus of the bible.
The bible says, "Even demons believe in Jesus yet shudder"

What is your religion?

Everyone on here gets bashed for their religious beliefs or non-belief, how do you know they are Christian? There are many who call themselves Christian and are not, There are even other religions who have HI-JACKED the term Christian when they are not. I am devout to God, do not assume my religion for you'd probably guess wrong. I do believe that in all the religions of the world there are those who are believers in God and the believers are united in their faith and belief. God's people are everywhere. Those who are not real believers think it's their job to make you defend what you believe, they do not know God.

Don't you know what it says in the bible Jesus said that ppl will hate you on account of me. Who care if they bash you. If you love God and his son Jesus then you will continue to defend him. He never stopped doing what was right so why should you? Just remember that he was ridiculed and hated and treated bad and mad fun of. But he did not give up. He set the example for us.

Well, they don't know any better... in the end christians are still humans and make mistakes. What's sad is that many people base our religion on a bunch of christians who judge a lot and attack others beliefs.

let's boil it down...western religion in general has taught us to be ideological. you can't be geared that way in religion or politics and not set yourself up for spending your energy fighting over ideas. life cannot be truly lived that way. Christianity is an eastern religion and the early Christians thought quite differently than we do; fighting over ideas was not how they were wired. that kind of thing developed when the church got into bed with Constantine and succumbed to his pressure to focus on doctrine in order to hammer out a system Constantine could use to try to hold on to his power.

Jesus suffered more than you when he was preaching the word. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and remember what he went through so you could have the opportunity speak your mind about him and his teachings and leave the rest to their fate. I mean honestly, what more can you do?
