The best way to go about finding the answer is to take the cat to the vet. If you have a Pet Smart near you they have free office visits on certain days at the vet inside. You only have to pay for the procedures or tests. Or you can type in different types of worms into the image section on google and guess. I would recommend taking the cat to the vet. It's much safer. Good luck.

Just treated my cats for this exact thing..... TAPEWORMS!!
A vet will give you good meds that will kick these worms in the butt.... I DO NOT suggest the pet store meds as they often just prolong the problems...and could cause further issues..... best of luck!

Tapeworm - most likely caused by flea infestation. Don't go to a local store, go to the vet. Worms can cause major health problems in a short amount of time, so don't delay. They will give you simple meds to get rid of them. Also make sure to take care of any flea problems, or they will just return.

Yes, the ones that look like rice are , indeed, tapeworms. To get worm medicine for it, you have to take it to the vet. Tapeworms need prescription medicine.

Definately take your cat to the vet ASAP. You don't know what it is exactly (although it sounds like tapeworm) and what effects it could have (tapeworms can cause very serious heart problems.)

No idea. I found it near my cat's butt. A grain of rice will be smaller actuall. It becomes round and then extends itself to move right?
