Pilates will help you get a straighter back. It improves your posture by making you aware of what it is that makes your posture bad. Usually it's due to the positioning of the pelvis (ie tilted forward or backward). Pilates helps you to find the neutral position and the exercises work on core stability muscles which are often neglected in traditional exercises and these help improve your posture and will straighten your back.

Not sure of any exercises but just try and stand straight and sit straight as much as you can, shoulders back and head up and the second you feel like your going to slouch get those shoulders back, good luck.

I've heard of something called a posture ball - its like an exercise ball but you get exercises with it that encourage correct posture. I'm afraid I don't know anymore than that but I would like to!!!

go to the gym and look at the weight machines, they should have a highlighted area of the muscles worked for each machine, focus on the ones affecting your back. In other words, weight lifting is the best way, it won't just straighten itself oout by lying in a certain position.

Try Alexander Technique. Helps you become more body and posture aware. Good luck!

This is a bit of a silly question Colin.....Nothing will give you a straight back if there is a problem with your spine....If there isn't a problem then its up to you to be conscious of everything you do throughout the day by keeping yourself upright whatever you may be doing....standing ..Sitting...etc........Good poster at all times...That's all I can say.........
