In all honesty there's no way to beat heredity. Your brother grew to 6'2" thanks to some incredible genes! You may have some tall genes too!
Just relax. You're a 16 year old male. You're going to shoot up next year or in 2009. And when I say shoot up, I mean it. My husband went from 5'3" at 16 to 5"10 by the end of his sophomore year!

Listen let me explain one thing no matter what people say height is not herewditary. If it was then a person witha crap diet should be able to grow to seven ft. That onlly works with gigsatism,. If you have started eating healthy and not noticed any growth, try rtaking some nutrition tablets, and your height should develop slowly. I have and ive grown about an ich in a month when before that i was growing like an incha year. And if it does not work ask the doctor for a hormone imbalance test. My little brois predicted to be six ft two, but i am sixteen and am only five ft eight. It was because when i was young i didnt eat weel ad hated millk but he loved it, so let me tell you exercise and eat well and ever scince i did a few years ago i passed both my parents so trust you wil grow till twenty. Plus ask our dad abnput his growth patterns how many growth spurts he got etfc.

Im 5 foot 3. my brothers really tall too! annoying aint it? he's younger than me also. Both my parents are average, not small but all the women in my fathers side were very small and im taking after them which means the liklihood i'll grow is slim-
you might keep growing til your 21- are you still growing steadily or have you not grown in years?
Don't buy into the height plls you see online, they don't work.
Milk doesnt make you grow either.
Your height is in your genes and thers not much you can do about that except certain stretches. thats suppose to help.
Yoga for example-
i also read skipping helps but im not sure about that one!!

DO NOT OBSESS over your height. You are 16 and your body is still in growth mode. As to how tall you will grow, I do not know. Short parents usually mean you will be short, BUT your brother is over 6 feet so who knows.
Genetic dice can be very tricky. Just eat regular and healthy and exercise properly.

Height is just a genetic thing, and height can skip a generation. Your parents may not be tall, but you may have had grandparents, or great grandparents who were. As for you being tall, it's hard to say one way or the other. My brother was short until he hit 18 and then he sprouted to 5'10". I honestly don't know. But give it time, and be happy with who you are. Height isn't everything.

x.x your brother has a recessive gene... 0.o.. your grandparents must have been tall.. that's why hes like that. and you wont get any taller than you already are by eating certain foods.. Not unless you hit a sudden growths spurt but.. that's not likey to happen.

i'm tall because some of my uncles are almost 7' and my grandfathers mom was a tall lady too.
Not to worry its just genetics its not always good to tall too many problems come with it even though it solves many problems.

if you eat whole natural foods.and do NOT eat white flour products and a lot of sweets ,and do eat lean meats.for protein.you will grow to where your supposed to.if you do not eat right you will NOT grow well.peoples growth can be stunted by not eating right.when your body is wanting to grow fast and you do not have the right nutrients in your system then it CAN"T grow if it doesn't have the nutrients to grow with.
I am 6ft.8 " 320 lbs and my mother feed me very well.but were large people naturally.eat no junk foods at all.or sodas and junk drinks.and you will need to stay active.excersise.
Good Luck
