If she doesn't mention her ex all the time, what they used to do, where they went, what their plans were. It takes longer for a woman to heal from a broken heart but if you really like her and willing to wait, you have to be patient, treat her special and show her your true self. Don't pamper her, she might just take advantage of it.

You can ask her about it. Also, listen to see whether she talks about him alot. That's really all that you can do. There is no such thing as a fair chance because most people are always going to look for something better than what they have even if you try to be good to them. Just enjoy yourself and make sure that you take care of yourself first.

The only thing that matters is how she behaves around you, and how she treats you. If she is always seems distracted around you or always complaining, or mentioning her ex, say goodbye. It doesn't matter if she is totally over her past relationship, because hearts take a very long time to heal. As long as she is willing to give you all of her, she is entitled to grieve a little, in private.

There nothing you can guarantee. But you might want to give her a 2nd chance. Who knows the feeling will grows even more after she's together with you.

Time. Be her friend, be there for her, but wait and observe.
You'll know when to move.
