His girlfriend is a *****. she treats him horribly and convinces him to basically change himself for her. she constantly cheats on him and he has cheated on her in the past. also, they fight all the time..

me and this guy have been reallyyy good friends for a while and we're always hanging out together. this year, we have a lot of classes together, so its just natural that we've been spending a lot more time together too..
and we flirt alllll the time.
in the past he has told his friends that he just likes to have someone to flirt with. 2 mutual friends know that i like him, and have told me that its blatantly obvious. so i know that he knows that i like him.

also, for the past month or so him and his gf have been fighting even more, and more often that not its about me.
i've heard ppl say that they are on the verge of breaking up.

i have tried getting over him.. but that doesnt work.
so what do i do?

This isn't a good thing. If it were me, I'd try to find a way to make a separation in our friendship so that we didn't see each other for a long time. It will not serve you to concentrate on how horrible she is because he has feelings for her.

Let him work this out and come to you. Don't be there to pick up the pieces because that always fails.

I would let him know point blank what you think about people that cheat-including guys-so he'll know you won't deal with it-first off. You never know-he's accepting it from her-he may be excusing it in his own head. I 'd say-"I know in a sense this is not my business but she's not respecting you and you deserve better-whoever that may be" and "If you ever want someone to date and really care-I volunteer!" That way its kind of a joke but he'll know. I had a friend do that years ago in college and it was both a comfort and a compliment. The fact that you started as friends makes it even better. Good luck!

take him to the side of school 1 day and ask him to go to the movies with u. this si ok because if she cheats he can cheat so in all manor it will never work out and then u will have ur boyfreid to yourself. But if he is the jock type i would guess u would have to suck his dick to get him to .like u but i wouldent because jocks are gay times 10

I'd hesitate. The troubled relationship you describe doesn't indicate a good track record for either one of them. Why does he put up with abuse? Could he be co-dependent? He's cheated too? What's to stop him from cheating on you?
Pick your partners wisely.

Well, unless your willing to fight to get him, realize that you probably will have to sit on the sidelines and wait until this moron opens his eyes and see that he has something better right in front of him. But for the meantime, be a friend and get a big pot of coffee ready, it sounds like this clown is going to have alot of sob stories for you!!!!!!!!!!

If he's your bestfriend then why not just talk to him. Let him know that you like him, just also let him know that you don't want your feelings to affect the friendship and see what he says, you never know he might really be into you ... or he might just want you as his friend but you'll never know unless you speak up ...

i think u should wait see if they break it off but if they fight near u watch them because if they fight more it probably gets worse each time and someone could be hurt. however i think they will break up and if he flirts with u he probably likes u .

They are not married or engaged so it is your decision as
to whether or not you should try to take him away from her..
Personally, I would advise you to do it.....Take him...
Guys are easy...
Flirt with sexual innuendo..
Wear provocative clothing & casually give him a peek...
Stand very close to him....touch him...
Lots of casual body contact..
Walk along side of him holding his arm, press it against your breast.....
Hold eye contact with him...
Go places alone with him...

Sit back; do not make any moves towards him -- and let the chips fall where they may. If he does like you, he'll let you know.
