I agree with the above mentioned "ZAPP'S" . I live in Baton Rouge and I have to say they are the best I've ever tasted. I like the Cajun Crawtators. They are a little spicy, but not unbearable. Also, the Mighty Mesquite is wonderful!

I like ones that are BAKED and are just potatoes which are plain. OR sometimes I like ones that are dusted with herbs and spices.
I do not really want to eat salt much anymore but I have no problem if others want to eat such rocks.
I personally do not mind a little OIL every now and then if it is proper, which I do not know all the ins and outs of except to say that you want to maybe consider some that are MECHANICALLY PRESSED oils rather than CHEMICALLY EXTRACTED OILS, but that's just a rumor from the healthy grocer, based on the pretense that some of the chemicals they use to EXTRACT OIL, from whatever plant, may be dangerous.

Home Made Ummm. Hard part you need a slicer or it not fun making the chips. But, you talk about good. Just like Home Made Popcorn.
Anyway; flavor to your liking; Plain, BBQ, Sour Cream, and try different Herbs and Spices.

I avoid the ones with artificial ingredients and flavors. I like lays naturals. They are simply potato, salt, sunflower oil. Nothing too complicated. I like a simple chip, and a flavorful dip

Its according to what you like. Try a few brands, then stick to one you like. The most popular are lays and goldenflake. OOh, and pringles are really yummy.... a bunch of flavors and not that expensive and cute container! Happy snacking!

Jays, from Chicago. The best potato chips in the world with just the right blend of salt and oil. Thin, crispy, and true to their trademark slogan, "Jays--you can't stop eating them"

"Utz" brand. My favorite from them is the "reduced salt"... I'm pretty sensitive to salt and this one is just right for me. Not too much and not too little salt. Give it a try!
