I hear that I can do the income tax online myself. Is there a safe website where I can do it and where it explains to you step by step? By the way what date is the dead line?, I'm not sure

Go to www.irs.gov, individual, free file, at this point the site will give you a choice of finding your own service or pick one for you...leave irs site, Turbo Tax, H&R Block are good. I like TaxSlayer it is only 9.95 for Fed & State for a fairly complicated return and user friendly.
Register on the site you choose. Go.....Make sure your http always has an "s" https to make sure your site has remained secure.
Make copies of everything you do. Follow directions.

good luck & bless

The Irs has partnered with online Tax preparers to offer free efile if you meet certain guidelines. Just go to IRS.gov and follow the steps for free efile. I did mine through Turbo tax Freefile and recieced my deposited return in 9 days.
