A change in behaviour can mean illness. If he's usually very peppy, vocal, and active, you may want to consider a vet visit. If you notice any other signs of sickness, they may be being fluffed up constantly, sitting on the bottom of the cage, wheezing when breathing, tail bobbing involuntarily, nasal or eye discharge, appearing very sleepy, trouble balancing, seeming weak - weak grip or weaker than usual bite, discolored stools, frequently runny stools, and lethargy. These should definitely be red flags to take him to an avian vet ( http://aav.org/vet-lookup ).

Otherwise, he may just be feeling calm today. Make sure he's eating, drinking, and pooping regularly.

Maybe he found a place where he's comfy and wants to be noticed because of his calm demeanor.

He's hiding something. Quiet equals guilt.

What did he do????
