Made in god's image, it makes sense we wish to become gods. Science is our method of investigating how his processes of creation happen.
Using scientifically obtained knowledge we correct creation mistakes ourselves. We've already defeated most disease, hunger, illiteracy with science, and continuously move forward. Someday, perhaps soon, we will create our own superior intelligent life, in the form of intelligent computers, genetically engineered creatures, and gentically enhanced humans.
Will science naturally lead us to godhood, provide Paradise on Earth (even the stars) and everlasting life? What will happen to god? Will he be cool and join us on weekends to shoot the breeze? Perhaps this was his intention all along.

Well, I meant everything god has done in the physical realm. God's ultimate accomplishment is creating diverse and intelligent life. We are quickly reaching the point we will create our own diverse and intelligent life.
Who knows what the far future will bring, perhaps physical humans will even penetrate the truth of the spiritual realm and we will all have the technology to communicate with spirits on the other side directly, without going through mediums.

As to diseases. All new diseases are diseases of old age that science is making progress on -- nanotechnology is a promising route. Cancer, lupus, heart disease are old age diseases, which rarely was an issue until science kept us healthy and alive for so much longer. Science HAS defeated nearly all infectuous disease that killed humans in their prime. There are no more plagues killing 50% of us at a time.

The pursuit of science and true spirituality will only reveal what is. We are finding God represent the creative force of the universe. This idea has been misplace to control man by making him believe creation is of a God not of himself.
Man has tremendous creative potential. Creation is the only constant in the universe. Even non creation is creation but in the reverse. Man will have to learn re-incarnation and creation go hand in hand. Knowledge is not just gained over a short lifetime. As man learns how to tap his historical knowledge over many life times it is then great leaps will occur.
God is out there doing his own thing. God is not the only creative force in the universe. He is one of many. God uses the same source as man. It is up to man to grow himself. Only through man's evolution will he be able to see the likes of God. Until then don't worry about God he is fine. Just concentrate on your own progress.

"We've already defeated most disease". Where the freak did you come up with this outrageous claim. Just off the top of my head: Diabetes, Lupus, Cancer, A.I.D.S, Herpes, Hepatitis, Heart Disease, Alzheimer's, well you get the idea. Basically, we ain't cured jack crap. For crying out loud, the common cold still kicks our collective butt every flu season. Medical science doesn't have a clue. My wife has suffered from migraines her whole life and all the doctors can do is mask the pain with pills. That is not a cure. All they can do is treat the symptoms, not the actual problem.

Humans may become arrogant enough to believe that human science/knowledge is equivalent to God’s knowledge, but we would only be fooling ourselves.
I do believe that God wants us to use our brains to improve our lives and our health, but this does not make us the equals of God.
I firmly believe that "made in God’s image" refers to our ability to love. Since God is spirit and far beyond our capacity to understand in every other way, what else could it mean?

"defeated most disease, hunger, illiteracy with science, and continuously move forward" - i dont think that this is a true statement we havnt defeated any of these at all. most science isnt 'fact'. its a mixture of data gathered statistics and asumptions, we will neva be god.
on interesting look at this i heard once was...
one day scientists turned to god as said "are knowledge is so large that i have learnt how to make man, just like u did out of sand just like you did in Genisis". god replied "ok i chalenge u to making Man, just like i did" the scientist replied "ok, i will just take some sand" god interuped with "ok this is my sand make ur own, just like i did out of nothing first"

It is the basic premise of Satanism that people should be their own gods, so be aware of the company you're keeping.
Your conception of God is either rather lacking or your opinion of yourself is rather inflated. Here is a mind as large as the entire universe, capable of comprehending every subatomic particle in the universe all at once, and you think you're capable of being like that?

No, science might make it possible for us to be immortal biologically, but we will still die from accidents, etc.
You should look into transhumanism. You seem to share a lot of their philosophical outlooks in life. I don't disagree, there is a lot of potential out there I am most likely to partake in it.

I know that you realize that everything we Humans know through Science has already been known and in place way before man inhabited this earth.
It was God's sovereignty to allow us to delve deep and learn of his wondrous creations.

i think it is humorous that science has allowed man to recreate life, however these scientists cannot believe that another being (God) created humans in the same fashion. Kind of hypocritical, isn't it?

Impossible question to be done. You are composing an impossible dream which will never happen. stop foolishness on your questions. or do you want only to have it on record that the answerer will have 2 points added to his or her earned points?

If we ever created intelligent life we'd immediately be all "Oh shiat! what do we do now?".
Should we afford human rights to them? Convert them to (a) faith? Clothe them? We'd be in a right pickle.
