I been to alot of void decks and i found something annoying. The state and stories from those elderly people make heart boils. They bring up their kids yet after the grown up they throw them out of the house like rubbish. How can the treat their parents like that? Their parents bring them up hoping they will get into a good school, hoping they can find a better job for a better future, yet when they grow up they treat their parents like trash. Should the govement set up a law preventing Elderly abuse? So that there won't be so many elderly people became old lonely and still forever care for their kids knowing that they will die alone.

Governments have nothing to do with it. Except to pass laws to protect again this fraud. It is the society that is to blame. Raising children, that are undisciplined to grow up into predators of the elderly. Teaching the young to be honest and forthright is the answer.

We have a law in Canada where you can prevent adult abuse. If they are abused in a nursing home, the person is immediately fired and an inquiry started. They can face charges.
Things are a little different with children. If you believe your children may end up taking care of you, it's best to have a lawyer involved. Draw up papers with a health directive and have the lawyer oversee your bank account over a certain amount each month. Have a list of the important (and likely expensive things your kids could sell on you) and put down they also need your lawyer's approval first or they'll be charged with theft over $500.00. Have someone check on you frequently if you live with them for signs of physical abuse and then they can report it and have you removed to a respite place for safety.
Unfortunately, with a lot of pressures today and the me, me, society, a lot of kids think their parents owe them. You have to protect yourselves.
All countries should have elder abuse laws.

Where I live, elder abuse is illegal. If you take advantage of an older person's vulnerability, you can be prosecuted.
But there is no way to force children to love their parents. That is a matter of morality, not law.

Decrease support for the nuclear family, provide reduced taxes if they live together as an extended family unit, increase the pain-in-the-*** factor for cheap daycare, and hold families responsible for the public funds support for poor elderly.

Oh, and kill off Social Security and Medicare.
