she wanted a Butterfly necklace, i really worked hard to find one that looks kind of sweet and purple [her favorite color], kind of worried she may not like it
or fakes that she likes it

Its not a line. First, you have to take her out to a really fancy restaurant. Leave a heafty tip for the wait staff. Then take her to the theatre or a show. Prefer someplace where you need reservations. Then take her out for a nightcap and dancing. When you have finally got her warmed up to you, then you can give her the butterfly necklace. If she wears it after that, she will also be remembering the wonderful evening you two had together.
