And you have an interesting combination of relationships:

The Mother who bore the son

The Son who was the equal to the Father

Therefore the Son was His own Father?

This is why I dont believe in the Bible. Do you wish to tell me why I should?

Is kind of weird and incestous. But I think this is something that confuses even the most devout Christians.

This is only one answer and not the best or a prelude to any arguments...all things are a matter of faith. Some people believe everything is an illusion...?
Consider mircroscopic things of this earth and the body itself. Everything of this planet Earth, including the human body, each and every cell, plant and animal, is made up of elements of this earth "dirt" or the "clay" spoken of in the Bible. Scientifically proven of course by mans own limited knowledge and resources to date.
Please understand there is no simple or easy answer to this type of question unless you have unbridled faith.
You also must have an open mind if you wish to seek out the truth. If not, then your search for the truth is in vain.
Jesus' mother was the virgin Mary. Much as we are made human by birth, so was He. God is the creator, simply put, and this is a matter of faith also. Try to stop breathing on your own. God put the "breath of life" into our souls. Hopefully this will start you to thinking about other such things of this world. The air is there, but you cannot see it. If it was not there you would surely die. How did it get there. Also look up "symbyosis"
It was an emaculate conception for Holy reasons, principles and your(s)(and all mankind) personal salvation. (simply put)
Noone can make you have faith and believe anything if you wish not to believe anything, fact or fiction.
Believing in God, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is a matter of Christian faith.
It requires study, a lifetime of study to understand the Bible as it is translated into the english language.
The original scriptures 2000+ years ago were written in Greek and Hebrew and other languages that had to be translated to all the other languages of the world to be understood by all the peoples of the earth. Some languages have no words for the words translated so they had to find the best word at the time to translate into that language.
You will need a King James Bible and a Strong's Concordance (both can be found online; Bible.com, etc. )to begin to understand each and every word of the Bible (God's letter to you). Yes, to you personally.
If you would want to hear the truth taught and what the Bible has to truely say I would ask you to look up shepherdschapel on the internet and listen to each and every broadcast and especially the last half hour of the program where some of the most frequent questions are asked by people around the world.
I'm sure you will find it intriguing and you will enjoy the broadcasts. The program is also broadcaston different TV stations and 24-7-365 on satallite stations around the world.
Good luck and God bless

Can you hear the thoughts of every person on this planet?
Can you feel their pain or work on all their problems at the same time? Then how can you even begin to think you can understand? It is too much. When you are faced with something so big come back to the basics. Think about a parent / child relationship. If you are a parent, could your child ever do anything to make you hate them?

I know God because of the Hell that he saved me from. I should not be alive today but I know God saved me. Then I read the Bible. Other people come to know God for different reasons. Don't try to make it too complicated.

Remember: When Adam and Eve talked to God everyday without confusion. When Eve ate the forbidden fruit God's wisdom was not released into the world it was Man's wisdom.

I hope that this gives you something to think about.

You are pointing to the absurdity of the trinity doctrine. That teaching has messed up the minds of a lot of people. It will have you thinking that God is his own Father...or Son. It will also have you thinking that the Son is as old as the Father.

But don't let such confusion turn you away from the simplicity of what the Bible says about God. At Ps. 83:18, it says that Jehovah is the Most High. John 3:16, 17 says that it was NOT God who came to earth, as so many misinformed people have been led to believe. In reality, it says that God SENT someone else to earth. Who was that? His Son. So who came to earth? Was it God or his Son? It was his Son.

At Luke 1:32, the angel Gabriel informed Mary that she would give birth to a son. Was it to be God himself? No. Gabriel said to Mary: "This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High," NOT the Most High. In verse 35: Gabriel said: "...what is born will be called holy, God's Son," NOT God.

Is Jesus equal to his Father? No. At John 14:28, Jesus said: "The Father is greater than I am." 1 Cor. 11:3 says: "The head of the Christ is God." So, no, Jesus is not equal to his Father.

The Father YHWH was alone. Then Genesis says he created the heavens and the earth.

Then he created his only-begotten son, the Word, or Jesus. Proverbs 8:22-31.

Then the Word and YHWH created all other life. Colossians 1:15-20. John 1:1-4.

Next rebellion broke out.

God took the life of his son Jesus and put it in Mary, to teach us how to live and pay our debt for sin.

The Father is the Holy Spirit, and gives his holy spirit or power from himself to persons, to help us do right.

All those having faith that God did this for us, gets the gift of eternal life.

The bible says that after the Kingdom on earth is perfected, Satan and all enemies are removed, Jesus will hand everything back to his Father.

Amen!! Yes for me!!

You are confusing their shared Divine Nature with their separate Personhoods.

The Father is divine.
The Son is divine.
The Holy Spirit is divine.

The Father is NOT the Son, nor is He the Holy Spirit.
The Son is NOT the Father, nor is He the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is NEITHER the Father nor the Son.

Three very different Persons, ONE Godhead.

How this can be, we have no clue. It's called a mystery for that very reason.
But please remember that powered flight was a mystery in 1776!
Gorillas were a myth until one was shot and brought out to civilization.

Whether you like it or not, there ARE more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in YOUR philosophy.

Not knowing does NOT make it not so.

Mary gave flesh to Jesus in the way of humanity. This gave Him a fully human nature in addition to His eternal Divine Nature.

The Person of the Christ was part and parcel of that unmixed but totally present pair of natures, therefore Mary gave flesh to God the Son. She may legitimately be called therefore, the Mother of God.

Get the biological part straight. And then remember it's NOT the ONLY part!

There are faith groups that believe in the Bible, who also believe that the Father and Son are two distinct and separate individuals. Examples of why this is so are found though out the Bible. An example being when Jesus was baptized, a voice from heaven was heard saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

If The Father and Son where the same people, why would God be "pleased with himself?" Makes sense to me that they are two distinctly different personages.

God has no son. He says " i have not been begotten nor do i have any begotten son " I think I'll be taking Gods word over anyone elses.

You didn't just prove anything. Jesus was a man and a holy prophet he was not God or the son of God. God is a separate thing altogether try reading the Quran it will all become very clear to you. God simply said "be" and Mary became pregnant with Jesus. That's it.

Jesus is not the Father. They are not equal, but they equally god. The father knows more than the son. Thats why only the father knows when Jesus will return. Mary was a virgin. One thing you should remeber is that God the Son existed even before he was born to Mary. He incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth. Mary was blessed to be chosen by God to give birth to the messiah. Mary was engaged to Joseph a decendant of King David when she was visited by the Holy Spirit and told that she was going to give birth to a son.

if this is a joke, well, good for you! you found a religion section where people take religion seriously, and made a joke!

if this is not a joke, well good for you. These questions have been asked for 2000 years. the danger is in thinking that since these questions are new for you, no-one else has thought about them, or come up with answers. So find some christians where you can sit down with live people and discuss this.

Not really, if God can created all things, all God need do is created a son. There would be no need for a women to bare Gods children.
