Science is not a religion, it's a way of thinking, whereas believing in a 'god' is a way not to have to think and put your responsibilities somewhere safe in the hands of a non-existant being.
In the Netherlands we say 'Gezondheid' when someone sneezes, which means: 'good health to you'. So happily this issue won't appear in our language.

What in the name of little green apples would make you think I wouldn't say "Bless you" when someone sneezes - I ain't taking responsibility if any of those souls escape or any of the demons get in, not on my watch, no way.
GOD Bless you, on the other hand, is totally out of the question for me; I am many things, but I am not a hypocrite.

Atheists don't worship Science. They don't pray to science, they don't put a human face on it, make human images of it and call it their deity.
The entire "God bless you" thing comes from a medieval belief that when one sneezed, the devil could grab their soul, so people would immediately say "God bless you" to protect that soul.

Atheists don't worship science. And "God bless you" is a figure of speech. Lots of people say it and don't really mean it or care.

They say, "use a handkerchief", and stop spreading your germs!
This will lead to a reduction of airborne diseases!
Unlike YOU, and YOUR false God, who spread diseases, in the HOPE that, "God bless you", will actually make ANY difference!

I say "omg" and I say "bless you" because its just habit, and that's how I learned this words and expressions in English. I don't say "Science bless you."
