I have two beautiful female cats named lotty and tootsie and they are 1 and a half years old, They are very active well one of them is the other one is getting porky! and gets bored really easily, I have mountains of toys for them and dedicate most of my spare time to help encourage them exercise tootsie responds quite well but lotty just lays down and watches then wanting atention by headbutting you just for cuddles. Is there any activities I can do with my cats that they would both enjoy?

Have you tried the cat toy called a "Cat Dancer"? It's great, just a simple flexible wire with bits of cardboard on the end, but cats go crazy for it. Any of the wand-type toys will encourage cats to get moving and you can use them while you're sitting in a chair reading. Also, consider a laser pointer.
As far as the monutain of toys go, take away at least half of them, and put them in a closet. Then bring them out every so often. They'll be like fresh new toys then.

close off the food dish. I have one that is chunky and am doing the same thing at the advice of the vet. If the cat still does not get active, I'd take it to the vet. There maybe something else like diabetes going on with your animal. Good luck.

you can work with them to walk on a leash, then you can take them out for a walk ,but make sure it works in the house for a long bit before you take them out and they will have to get used to that so ,go out for a few min at a time until they aren't afraid anymore then see how it goes good luck

Try giving them a catnip pillow, it brings out the "kitten" in a cat. My cat loves hers. :)

Add: Another herbal pillow you can try is Valerian :) My neighbor's cat responded very well to that, but my kitty didnt... individual cat taste i guess lol.
