If your CD player is capable of burning you won't need any software for it. Everythgin you need shoudl have been installed when CD player was.

I use limewire and have nothign installed that didnt come with the CD burner or windows.

the first thing is during burning the cd you have to look for what type of thing you are burning!.
1.music(mp3)
2.vedios(avi,wav,wau)
3.data or software(.exe.,.ppt,.doc)

1. it requires a lot of impressive quality so it should be burnt with minimum speed! to get best quality.natuarllly it takes a lot time, but you will enjoy!.THEREFORE I RECOMMEND YOU TO DO WITH WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OR REAL PLAYER.
because if you use softwares like nero burning ...the problem is that it has its default high speed ,even if you select to make and audio cd. therefore it lacks quality!.

2.for this you can use software like easy creator or nero because it doesnt matter how low is their quality of sound!.

3.for third again i will recomment manually copy and pasting method for writint because these programmes like nero..... takes a lot of time to prepare the cd for burning and again wriing it!.there fore a lot of time is consumed which is not needed here!

but if you want best burning programmes, i would recommend following:
nero
easy cd creator
they are the best in buisness. dont opt for other stupid things!

You can burnn CD's direct from Windows Media player if your reasonably up to date so you don't need to install anything else. Windows XP onwards has file copy built in.
