I have a mock lasagna recipe. Great taste, different look and easy easy.
Portions are approx, I always dump and pour and use stuff up.
Preheat oven to 400 F.
1 1/2 lb of egg noodles, shells, rotini, penne, or whatever bite size pasta.
1 quart of jar spaghetti sauce
1 lb hamburger or other ground lean meat
1 egg
1 small container or cottage cheese
1 cup parm cheese
any add ins...mushrooms, olives, etc.
2 cups mozz cheese
Italian seasoning or oregano, 2 tablespoons or to taste?
Start a pasta pot boiling with a driz of olive oil and some salt, add pasta when it is at a good boil. When the pasta is almost done, drain it and add back to the pan, toss with a little olive oil if sticky. Set aside and let it cool a bit.
Meanwhile on the nextdoor burner!! Heat a large skillet, brown the meat with garlic, onion, etc, drain if needed and remove from heat to let it start to cool. Add spaghetti sauce, add your minced mushrooms or olives.
OK when pasta has cooled some, add:
Cottage cheese with most of the milky liquid drained off. Some of it is OK. Then dump in the parmesan, italian seasoning, and finally an egg. Stir well to coat the pasta. Add meat sauce slowly and stir often to warm the egg instead of cooking it. Should be everything at this point except the mozz cheese.
Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Top with mozz and and misc garnishes to bake on top, as you like...I sometimes slice bell peppers into strips and fan out on the cheese like a pinwheel....with an olive in the middle. Cute! Bake at 400 F. about 20 minutes until cheese is golden...you are just heating it through and binding it together. If it looks done, it is.
Serve with side salad and drink. Easy easy. When you dovetail the tasks together, it doesn't take long, honestly this is only about 20 minute prep then 20ish minutes to cook. Cleanup is minimal and there is plenty of little times in between tasks to get it done.

Sure....
Boil a package of lasagne noodles for 9 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water and separate.
In a skillet, brown 1 pound ground beef. Add 1/2 teasp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and a large jar of spaghetti sauce. Cook 5 minutes, and remove from heat.
In a large bowl, mix 2 eggs, 1#ricotta cheese, 1#large curd cottage cheese, 8oz. grated mozzerella, and 1 cup grated parmesean cheese,1 tsp dry basil leaves with a spoon.
Spread a small amount of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Cover the bottom with noodles. Add a layer of meat sauce, 1/2 the cheese mixture, and more noodles. Repeat layers once more, then top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with parmesean cheese. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
That's about as easy as it gets.

1. By some beanfeast (the one with the tomato based sauce, its a vegetarian option but no one will no unless you tell them) its a lot quiker & healthir than using mince (also cheaper). Its available at all supermarkets!
2. by some white sauce in a jar
3. first make up the bean feast as instructed, then add a layer of this to your oven dish, add a layer of lasagne sheets, add some of the white sauce, add more lasage sheets, then another layer of beanfeast, followed by more lasagne sheets then a final layer of white sauce
4. grate lots and lots of cheese on top (lasagne is great with loads of cheese), stick in the over for a good 45 mins and dish up with some salad & garlic bread
5. If you dont like the idea of using beanfeast, just buy some mince, brown it in a frying pan, fry some mushrooms, & add a jar of LASAGNE sauce/or the stuff out of the packet...then do the whole layering thing with the sheets & white sauce!
6. or if you cant be bothered with that...buy one of the fresh ones from tesco/asda etc, again grate some cheese on top, cook it for however long it suggest on the back & again dish up with some salad & garlic bread (if they ask just say 'of course i made it....my mum taught me the recipe'. unless its your mum your cooking for.

The very, very easiest way, is to make up a bolognaise sauce (using a jar of dolmio or something), make some cheese sauce from a packet, or you can even buy it ready made in waitrose, layer up the sauce, lasagne sheet and meat, sprinkle with cheese n top and bang it in the oven!
Its so nice, feels like home cooking coz its not frozen and easy!

________________
Lasagna
8 ounces lasagna noodles
2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons minced garlic
12 ounces lean ground beef
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 (28-ounce) can diced Italian tomatoes, drained
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, divided use
1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup (2 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided use
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 1/4 cup (5 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Rinse with cold water and drain.
Meanwhile, in a 4 1/2-quart pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until onions are translucent. Add beef and brown until thoroughly cooked. Stir in mushrooms and sauté until softened; drain, if desired. Add tomatoes, basil, salt and half the pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, uncovered.
While the sauce simmers, beat ricotta cheese, egg, half the Parmesan, all of the parsley, sugar and remaining pepper in a small bowl, until well combined; set aside.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan, spread a little bit of sauce on the bottom of the pan to coat. Top with a layer of noodles then dot with 1/3 of the ricotta mixture. Cover ricotta with 1/3 of the remaining sauce and 1/3 of the mozzarella. Repeat two more times. Sprinkle the top with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until cheese is melted and lasagna is thoroughly heated. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Makes 8 servings.

In the event that it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
