When I swallow pills (even very tiny ones) they feel as though they get stuck in my throat. Anybody ever have this or know what it could be?

yes many times just keep drinking water or eat a piece of bread that will clear them, sometimes they scratch your throat and that is why you can feel it for ages afterwards, all perfectly harmless

I used to have the same problem--it is 100% mental. Here are a couple things to try:

1) Think of the pill as a piece of food. When you're swallowing it, pretend you're swallowing a piece of food.

2) Take a drink of water to moisten your mouth first, then put the pill in your mouth, and another drink to get it down.

3) Place the pill lightly on your tongue, then close your mouth and jerk your head back (gently) to "throw" the pill to the back of your throat. Then it is much easier to swallow because it's already partway down.

I used to have trouble with the tiniest pills but now I can swallow the biggest horse pills without any trouble!

Yeah. This happened to me when I swallowed pills without water. My advice is to drink a lot of water until the feeling goes away.

Drink some water BEFORE swallowing the pill, then take it with water.

Yep, I asked my doc once about it, he told me to make the pill smaller and drink a lot of water. Hope that helps.

Drink more water when you are taking a pill.
