Alcohol sometimes amplifies the effect of certain medications... therefore it is unwise to consume alcohol in large quantities when taking meds... but "NEAR BEER" has only trace amounts of alcohol as compared to full brewed beer... so have a few... just don't go overboard ! If your medications specifically states that alcohol mixed with it's use is bad, ask the pharmacist why... most likely it will be because it will make you even more groggy... if he says it will kill you, then I'd lay off even the "NEAR BEER" !!!

Non-alcoholic beer should NOT have alcohol in it (thats why it's called NON-ALCOHOLIC and not LITE ALCOHOLIC). If it does, then stay away from it. Alcohol can screw with the function of any medication, especially any anti-depressant. You are good to be asking, just asking the wrong folks. If you are concerned (as you appear to be) call your pharmacy and ask. If not them, a call to your doctors office would yield results too.

No. While you're on medication, it is better not to drink beer since there will chemical reactions going in the body. Unless prescribed by to the doctor, it could be healthy to drink beer sparingly/as noted.

Depending on your medication, it could be fine to drink. If ever in doubt about any medication you are on and contradictions and or side effects, ask your doctor or pharmicist.
