Sure. Wouldn't you consider everything? Is your faith important to you?
Silly prayer, but hey, I was like 20 and I meant it with my whole heart. I prayed that god would take away my ability to walk - put me in a wheelchair before he would let me fall away. I begged him. Sure, you may say god doesn't work like that, but it was a sincere prayer and a sincere desire to not lose my faith.

I was brought up in a "church" and learned of two different people. One called Jesus and the other Christ. Jesus was a man and Christ was created by men when the Jewish church was re-established as the Christian church.
The followers of Jesus did not have a formal church til some three hundred years after Jesus died.
If you quote the bible I suggest you first read all relavent material including each version and tell me how or why they often differ?
I could go on and we could all argue back and forth till it is too late or we could follow examples like Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Abraham, Moses, Kennedy, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, sister Teresa and too few others.
Who we claim upon or who we say we are, does not reflect our worth. What each does, does.
Not even one is beyond question or accountability.
What matters is what ultimately lords over all, within the spirit of what is provided
When will some "kingdom" come?
It will not come by waiting for it or arguing over how or where or why.
It is not a matter of saying here it is or where it is.
Rather the kingdom is spread upon, within, and throughout and most have lost sense of this.
We can only be one with all, if we sense the one in all.
Remember the spirit behind any eyes you look into comes from the same place as yours.
I can tell you without question that the bible you quote has many and varied versions. Even the first bible was editied for and by the church. Church is the one thing Jesus stood against and yet his so-called followers attend church while most often leaving the essence and examples of this man unattended.

Consider This:
Has God indeed said...Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away."? (Luke 8:13)
In response to Romans 8:35-39
no other being or thing can separate us from the love of God, only we can separate ourselves from God by the forfeiture of His precious salvation through unrepentant sin leading to the volitional choice of unbelief.
Hebrews 6:4-6, [4] "For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, [5] and have tasted the good scripture and the powers of the age to come, [6] and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him to open shame
Hebrews 10:26-31, [26] "For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, [27] but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. [28] Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. [29] How much more severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know Him who said, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay.' And again, 'The Lord will judge His people.' [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

I certainly have this sense that shall we get right into a good debate on the as quickly as saved continuously saved situation. definite, I do agree that the countless atheists who're the main illiberal are people who're former Christians. yet, i will disagree with you on the "i think that they on no account HAD a private dating with God or they'd not be "ex-Christians" in the 1st place. yet that's yet another tale." situation.... i comprehend some distance too many human beings at here who relatively enjoyed God and felt they did have a private dating with God by using His son, Jesus Christ. a lot of whom went into ministry because of the fact they wanted to serve the Lord. yet, for one reason or yet another, they have rejected God. So, in accordance on your logic, they the two would be dragged into heaven because of the fact they have been saved, or they mistakenly believed that they have got been Christians yet they actually weren't. If the latter section is real, then how can everyone ever have self assurance that they are relatively saved? there's a scripture via Jesus in the Bible: "he that endures to the top with me would be saved." jointly as no you could take you far off from God, you could pick to stroll far off from God.

No but I did read a lot of verses in the Bible aroudn that time. Additionally I don't believe I ocudl neccessarily my I lost my faith. I studdied the Bible to get a better undertanding of my faith, sicne what Churches preached didn't always match what the Bible preached. In doing this I discovered Islam.
I am a Muslim & the truth of Islam can be found in the Bible.

:) Well those verses are from the Bible therefor if someone were losing their faith they'd not pay attention to that. I was a devout Christian until 2 years ago. I did not lose my faith but added to it. I now follow a Pagan path but respect, admire, and agree w/ some Christianity. I never lost faith in God but instead learned a new way to see it all.

I considered many things, mostly contradictions and infantile science in the Bible. I could hardly swallow such stuff when I was 7 or 8 years old. What does all this you quote matter, when it is outweighed by nonsense? If one finds many errors in the Bible, he cannot trust these verses either.

The bible is just a book. It's not a sacred manuscript authored by God himself.
It says a lot of BS.....weird, vile, absurd things too, that 'god" was obviously all for according to middle eastern bronze age jews.... stoning your children to death for STUPID things, unjust, really..... Yeah, stone your daughter for being accused of 'not being virginal', yet an "eye for an eye, tooth for tooth? seems like a contradiction hun.
Sacrificing animals on an alter, ewe. Human sacrifice is the hub of Christian faith!
It's ridiculous.
It can't be taken seriously.\
Hey, believe what you want,
and we're both going to end up in the same place anyway.
Life after death is wishful vampire thinking. Fantasy.

Yep, sure did.
I considered all the possibilities.. questioned whether I was ever really "saved" or not, etc..
Nothing you can throw at me biblically is something I haven't already considered.
I refuse to worship your god on moral grounds.. it's that simple.

I would have, but scripture was the biggest reason for my loss of faith and the tiny fact that the religion is a homophobic, sexist, racist bunch of ballahooie.
