We all go through this phase of being terrified of death. When you get older, you realize that it happens to everyone and you can't stop it from happening. I look on it as an adventure waiting to happen, hopefully a great one. I just don't want the pain part of it !

Dear Brittney;
I think to a degree we're all afraid of death, it could be a combination of the possibility of pain at the end and not knowing what comes after... if anything.Unfortunately sweetie, we will all die eventually, so we have to try and have a full life while we're here. Two years ago I lost a nephew suddenly due to heart problems at the age of 33.We can take a lesson from him , how he lived his life. He was a good and caring human being, you knew he loved his family and he lived each day with an approach of joy and adventure.Live each day as though its your last, show your love for those around you and try not to worry about the small things that sometimes make our life a hassle, because in the end is it really going to matter? You're afraid of death honey, I get that, but don't let it make you afraid of life too, make every day count , take the time to savour those special moments that can come each day and my blessings to you for a long and happy life!

Everything seems so dark,
you don't know which way to turn,
you hurt so deep,
Now it's time to run.
You never thought things in your life could be so wrong,
Look at the things you have done,
you want to live life so right,
But now you are trapped in the endless ring of saddness.
How can I put this,
What am I suppose to say,
Does anyone know who you are,
I should not stay, I see a way out.
I was going to run.
I turn around and see the bars that hold you in.
They lock out love, worlds apart you are .
Your something that I don't want to be!
If this is how life is suppose to be,
Don't let it haunt me,
Someone take me away,
Trapped in this life you don't want.
you feel so trapped so far away. May I call you friend,
You will always share a piece of my heart.
I will always pride myself,
To always be true to you.
As much as I need friends,
So must you.
I will also share a place in your heart,
To be there whenever you need me.
I may not be there in flesh,
But I will always be there in spirit.
I try to understand your needs.
When it rains on you ,
I will share my umbrella with you.
As sadness overwhelms you,
We will cry together.
If you feel down and kicked,
I will pick you up and brush away your doubts.
When you think you can't continue,
I will remind you that you can.
As you become discouraged,
I will boost your ego high.
Being a friend I don't take lightly,
It's my desire, never a chore.
If you need some silence, yet not be alone,
We will sit together in the peace of quiet.
When you wish to play,
You will always have a playmate.
You will never be completely alone,
A piece of me will always be with you.
One thing I can always give,
Is the gift of friendship for you to accept.

Everyone is afraid of death in some way. Remind yourself that you're young. Unless you are an extremely risky person you will live a long eventful life. You might want to talk to your doctor about anxiety. Tell him some of your symptoms.

girl, if you worry constantly about something that will happen to EVERYONE then your going to go insane! Try to dig deeper into your mind and try to draw out WHY you are so scared. For me the reason used to be "no one is gonna remember me, death is just a vast nothing, total darkness, no afterlife at all". You just have to come to the conclusion that death is something that you cant control or stop. Stop worrying about death and just enjoy the life you have now. Be greatful for everyday you are alive and live it up.

It's natural that you're afraid of death. Nearly everyone does. Including me. Try to be strong, with courage and compassion. Courage does affect your life a lot. It's more important to live happily and healthy, instead of worrying all day long.

It's a common anxiety... maybe most common. You're not going to believe this but you need to exercise and get around a lot of people. Every day. It will pass in a few months, if not sooner.
And stop going to the doctors.
You know what you need? You need someone that you feel really cares about you. Instead of hoping they care, become an extrovert and attract people to you that cares. You don't need one that cares a lot as you think, you need many that cares a little.

It was always a huge fear of mine.It got worse after the death of my mom.Do things you love. And if it becomes to overwhelming talk to a doctor about it.There are so many great things that can help. And most dont involved meds.I know it gets worse if your lonely and have lots of time to think. What helped me the most was looking at life around me.Yes we all die but life is happening to you now.If you always worry about dying what kind of life is that.Make the most of it.Having good friends to talk to is major. And if you want you can email me.Im happy to listen.I also have yahoo messenger.Same name as this.

What's to be afraid of? You live, then one day when you least expect it...one of hundreds of complex procesees in your body fails. Either quickly and painlessly or slowly and in sheer gut wrenching agony, you finally lose all awareness of your existence.
You're stuck in a refrigerator for awhile so you don't spoil. Someone drains the fluids from you, so you can stay fresher even longer.
Finally someone puts you in an expensive box, has a big party and puts you in a specially prepared ditch. Forever.
No big whoop. :)

There is no need to fear, it is inevitable. It will probably be like falling asleep permanently.
