how do i act infront of guys??!!?

y am i such a babbling fool!!! today in tutions i purposely turned down a ride infront of a guy i like so dat he would walk me home! and guess wat! my driver turns up so i hop into my car and offer him a ride to his place... while goin ther i was babbling n acting like a complete idiot! and a few weeks ago my friends gave me this huuge lecture dat i dont act normal wen i am infront of guys.....not evn the 1 i dont like! wat do i doooo??? i had such a good chance to score points with him n i BLEW IT! n everytime he looks at me he just smiles at wateva i say so he dosent insult me! i was speaking soo fast n asking stupid Q's and stammering!
HELP!!! me sooooo embarrased!!!

Hun, I totally feel for you. There was a point where I did the same thing in front of the guy I liked. Sometimes, I couldn't even speak! Or all my words would come out jumbled.

The trick is to play it cool...but not to the extent that you're pretending to be someone you're not. Be yourself. But when you're talking to this guy, try to think of him as an old friend and talk to him freely like that. It worked for me.

The most important thing is to just be yourself. Don't put on any airs or graces and pretend to be the kind of person you think he'd like. If he's into you, you'd want it to be because he likes the real you. It's gonna be really hard for you to keep up a charade if he falls for the 'you' you're pretending to be.

And one more thing. Don't dwell on that incident. I once hugged a guy friend of mine (who I happened to like) and he didn't hug back. It was a kinda unexpected thing and we were both embarrassed. I couldn't bear to look at him or talk to him the rest of the evening and I hated myself for 'throwing myself at him'. But it didn't do me any good, it didn't reverse time and prevent it from happening. You just have to pick yourself up and move on.
