2 pm isn't a great time. Most toddlers go down for a nap between noon and 1 pm so that may be their nap time. i would either do an earlier party (say 10 to 11 AM) or an afternoon one from 3 to 4 or so. that way you don't have cranky kids on your hands.
of course this depends on weather or not you are going to serve food or just cake and ice cream.
You could always talk to the parents of the kids you are going to invite. Ask them what they think would be a good time. But just remember that in the end you get the final say as to what time it will be held. We have always had my kids parties from 3 to 5 or 4 to 6 late afternoon and evening parties. They seem to work the best.

My daughter is about to be 2 and she naps between 1-3:30. I went to a party the other day that was 3-6 and it was good. The kids were rested and had fun. We showed up around 4 which was great. 11am sounds good too, but most of all you should ask the parents who you're inviting. Since it's a small gathering it should be easy to coordinate.
Have fun!

I would say to talk to all the mothers and friger out around what time all the kids nap. And then plan the party to start a little while after that. This way none of the kids will be tired or cranky. Good luck and remember to have fun!!!

Why not 11:00 A.M.? You could play games and eat a larger lunch for the party then naps would follow. You'd have the rest of the day to spend alone with your child.

I would do it after nap time so they arent "cranky" Ask the other mothers what time nap time is for them and plan the party after that I'd say in the afternoon.2 would probably be good if they all had their nap by then.

I just had a Chuck E Cheese bday for my son. It was pretty inexpensive too! We had it on a Thursday at noon...so it wasn't at all crowded. We didn't have them host it, so we brought our own cake and put up decorations at our table. (You are allowed to do that) For about 50$ I got a large pizza, all the kids drinks (5) and 100 tokens, which lasted us for about 4 and a half hours. Each game or ride is only 1 token. It was so much fun, and there was virtually no cleanup involved. Just an idea! Good luck!

I would have to say after nap time. If you have it before nap time, the child (children if you are inviting more) could be over stimulated and really grouchy before nap and possibly be harder to lay down for their nap. If all his/her little friends or even just family are there, the little one is NOT going to want to take his/her nap. He/She's going to want to stay up and visit! I defintiely say after nep. This way they can run around and tire themselves out and be ready for bed later that evening.

I would do it after nap time. As they are more active afterwards and they can run off the sugar trip.
I had my son's birthday party after his nap which was 2pm It was perfect!!None of the kids were tired.
Hope this helps!!

I would have it a little before nap time.... get them good and tired. Have nap time right after the party.... Then the mommies can sit together and have mommy time while the little ones sleep.

I would plan it around 11:30 so they can play a little, have lunch, and still be on nap schedule.
Have fun
