Once pollinated the seeds form. You get the sphearical arrangement called the dandelion clock. The seed itself is at the bottom surrounded by bracts (not sepals). The parachute is called a pappus which catches the wind and transports the seed to a random location. The seed can very easily detatch from the parachute. There is usually about 80 to 180 seeds produced per flower.
