Sometimes it looks that way, Catholics praying to a the image of Mary and so on. But they definitely don't consider Mary to be equal to God in any way.
In the Quran, it says Allah (God) has not partners, and that Jesus and Mary are considered partners of God by Christians. They probably feel so strongly about that because the early Arabs believed in a group of gods and Islam was in strong opposition to any practice that appeared to resemble any form of polytheism.

And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, 'Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, though I know not what in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. [Qur'an 5:116]

Logical fallacy:

If you believe in a mother of God then you believe that she is a God, because maternally a mother of a deity would be a deity herself.

If you Christians don't believe humans are god, why do they refer to Jesus as the Lord as well as being the son of a Lord?

Christian beliefs aren't compatible with sound reasoning...

Not at all. Mary is honored as the mother of Jesus. Christians are monotheistic: we worship the one and only God.

No, we do not, Mary is the mother of Jesus, in the Christian opinion. She is not mentioned just a whole lot in the bible as far as the birth of christ goes.

Nope.

Luke 1:28 and Luke 1:42 say she was blessed among women, but not a god.

No, Mary is honored as mother of God, but not a God. She gives us hope since she was "Assumed" (body & soul) to heaven by Jesus; meaning Jesus saved her and we're hoping for the same salvation. Since she's in heaven, we belive she's got "God's " ear. We can ask her to interceed on our behalf.

I dont consider her a god cause there is only one god. She is just a blessed woman who gave birth to the messiah.

Not a god, but an excellent person. God chose her, out of everyone in history, to bear His son. She must have done something right.
