i like this guy at school... his name is darian. the problem is my name is daria. whenever we have parties, our friends are always like hey it's darian and daria... lol. some of his friends even call him daria as a nickname. i think that he likes me too but he's hesitant because our names are so similar and us getting together would make for a lot of jokes... do you think this relationship could work out?

I don't see why not. I think people are just having fun and picking at you guys. I wouldn't take it seriously. If you and this guy really like each other,then go for it. How you feel about each other is what really matters. :)

let me tell u i don't know how old the two of u are but i believe if u are all old enough for a relationship, name can never be a reason why two pleople that love's each other should not be okay. be yourself forget about what some one say's and check ur self if u really love him and if the answer is yes then it ll work out.

Well, you're obviously very young and shouldn't even be worrying about a real relationship just yet. You're not going to be married or anything so if you like the guy and he likes you, just let things happen and don't worry about what others are saying. They're just jealous that this guy (who happens to a name so close to your's) likes you.

Yes. Names are merely coincidental. That could be a positive thing to have similar names, depending on how well you get along with each other, socially.

Believe me a name won't stop a man from seeking out a relationship with someone. Or at least man you should bother with. Is this your guess or what he is telling you. Because that's just not a believable excuse.
