Chopsticks are traditionally held in the right hand only, even by the left-handed. (In East Asia, as in Muslim nations, the left hand is used in the toilet, the right hand used for eating.) In modern times, biases against left-handed eating are becoming less severe, and so chopsticks might be held with either hand.

it's ok, i used my left hand to hold the chopsticks, 1 disadvantage though, you'll bang the person's right elbow when both tries to eat at the same time, so, whenever we dined in a group, i always seat on my wife's right, if she's not with me i'll be extra careful

The only problem is that Chinese restaurants only put out chopsticks that are made for right-handers, you need to ask the waiter for the ones made for left-handers, which will add a little more to your bill.
